Purists may scold, but I’ve always loved in-game video games like this! Speaking of Pro Pinball: My personal impression is that Pro Pinball was also a bit more authentic to play.
#Dream pinball 3d high res series
In this regard, the Pro Pinball series remains unmatched for me. I think it’s a shame that the Hungarian developer ASK Homework has consistently limited itself to conventional, mechanical components and completely left out entertaining LED minigames. The all-round successful Two Worlds was already fully playable in the demo version. This is only possible to a limited extent, because the difficulty setting only changes the number of balls – between seven and one per match – and, for the gaming experience, timers and point thresholds that are rather incidental. Both beginners and professionals should get their money’s worth with four different levels of difficulty. Just a matter of taste – and the perfectly balanced Two Worlds makes up for it on behalf of the others. For my taste on some tables (Dino Wars, Aquatic) even a little too much. In this regard, the developers apparently wanted to make a special effort and, depending on the topic, painted and screwed all sorts of colored knick-knacks onto the virtual plywood panels. And in a broader sense through the individual optical table design and the sound effects. Variations in the gameplay result only from the different arrangement of the ramps, bumpers, targets, pinball machines and ball traps. All tables are based on the same ball physics. Due to the genre, of course, there can be no talk of real playful variety. In my opinion, all six are nice to look at and play briskly: from the medieval-chivalrous “Knight Tournament” to the hectic “Spinning Rotors” to the Jurassic-parky “Dino Wars”, entertainment is offered for weeks. In any case, more precise details can only be said after working with all the tables for several weeks, because every pinball fan knows: A good table becomes more and more interesting, the better you get to know it. Fortunately, the differences in quality are not serious.

Our test of the full version initially confirms the obvious assumption that the manufacturer has chosen Two Worlds as the best table for the demo publication.
Since the last serious release in the pinball genre, the ingenious Pro Pinball series from Empire Interactive, was over five years ago, and only had a single table per episode, Zuxxez need not worry about the sales volume of the game. The full version, comprising six tables, comes on the market at a fair price of just under 25 euros. Pure Adrenaline! Spinning Rotors is the fastest table in the game. The manufacturer has now published the best results on its website – and named a certain “Laren” the proud winner with over 470 billion points! Without knowing the champion personally, I dare say that the winning photo will show a very pale human with alien anatomy. The high scores achieved in the process made orthopedic surgeons stand on end: below 100 billion points and 5 hours of playing time in a row – you read that correctly: over 5 hours for a game! – you don’t need to calculate your chances of a good placement.
Several thousand users could not withstand the challenge and freaked until their index fingers hurt – and sometimes even longer. Whoever achieved the highest score by August 31st and uploaded it to Zuxxez will receive a proud 10,000 euros winner’s bonus. The demo release was made even more interesting by a simultaneous international high score competition. As in a real pinball machine, there are plenty of scoring bumpers and ramps, a 3-way multiball mode and the obligatory tilt mechanism.

A pinball table that has been thought out down to the last detail is state-of-the-art: motion blur effects, HDRI lighting and multilayer 3D sound – plus a ball behavior that comes close to reality. No wonder, because the pinball simulation advertised in cooperation with the German Pinball Association has it all. The feedback from players on the free Two Worlds table, named after the role-playing game of the same name by – you guessed it – Zuxxez, was positive across the board.

Zuxxez knows how to market games: four weeks before the release of Dream Pinball 3D, the Karsruh-based manufacturer spread a fully playable table hundreds of thousands of times among the people.
